Trip Kak Long: Packing List

Bismillah...

While we are almost always excited as the next trip approaches, most of us actually dread packing.

My chingus and me were doing our packing 'together' just now. Although we were only communicating via Whatsapp, the process became somewhat fun that we shared what we are bringing for our coming trip. RR asked for our lists. RM immediately sent hers which was hand written on a rather weathered looking paper torn from a notebook. I noticed the date written on top right, January 2018. RM's nature of work requires her to travel a lot. Sometimes, she only get to be at home for just 3 days before she goes off again to another place thus she has with her a comprehensive checklist of things to pack.

Me, I don't have a list, to be honest. Years and years of traveling conditioned me to pack smoothly. Plus everything in my room are organized to suit my lifestyle and its pace; everything is compartmentalized according to groups and with that I usually save time looking for stuffs. But the downside of this is, if my things are moved, I really suck at looking for them hahaha

Now, I feel like it's actually good to have a list.. So I'll share what I usually pack~

The things in my toiletries bag and make up bag:

Detergent for laundry
Facial cotton pads
Cotton earbuds
Extra brooch, pins, hair bands and a jaw hair clip
Shower gel and shampoo (repacked)
Toothpaste
Toothbrush
Comb

And the list goes on...

Facial wash
Toner (Repacked)
It's Skin Serum
Moisturizer (Repacked)
Tissues (Facial tissues and wet tissues)
Sunscreen
BB cream
Blusher
Brow pencil
Lipstick

I repacked my moisturizer into a 30 g container
My beauty regime is simplified during my travel haha
Luckily my make up is very basic and simple so I get to bring them all
I don't wear make up when traveling to places with extreme weather, though

I replace cleansing milk with baby oil...
Compact mirror is a must nowadays too!

Non woven bag
This one always comes in handy for anything at all
Most useful if I happen to be in an accommodation with shared bathroom

Sejadah
To bring telekung during travel depends on my mood because mine is quite bulky
But this sejadah is a must.
It was given to me by someone from my past.
I hope the rewards from every single use goes to that person (^^)

Okay that's all for my 'BASIC MUST HAVES!'

"This Is Me Letting You Go"

Bismillah...

Recently, I've been guilty for letting self-doubt seep into my mind and dictate my thoughts. Alhamdulillah, I was blessed and privileged to have been fated to meet with the right people while the pessimistic voice was echoing ever so loudly in my head....

My self-doubt was related to 'timing'...
Feeling that I was still not good enough for my endeavors...
Feeling that I still need more time before I dive into it...

But then I came across with something that reminds me that I don't own time..
The more I delay, I wasn't particularly becoming 'readier than ever', I was merely losing more time..
I was disillusioned by my strong desire; since the desire persist for a long long time, it made me feel like I was getting closer but in truth I was not aptly doing anything that gets me there

I guess, we can never be truly ready for anything no matter how much we prepare ourselves..
There's no guarantee that things will be easier, simpler and better when we delay things..
The route of great journeys that require commitment and responsibilities will always be challenging...

I was enlightened by the strangers I met that the greatest drive will ensue once we embark on that journey...
It's a continuous process that shapes us along the way...
And 'having it perfect' prior, in truth, contribute very little to the whole course because the challenges that will come won't always be something that we foresee.

"This Is Me Letting You Go" is actually the title of the book in the images I shared in this post written by Heidi Priebe.

The chapter I shared talks about 'The Right Time' in a different context...

*****

If we don't summon the courage to pursue, to take risk, to overcome hurdles.. we might be repeating "I'm not ready" for the next 20 years... or perhaps to our very last breath...

It made me wonder...
Whose voice actually is that???
That small voice that hinders our growth, stopping us from being the best version of ourselves, notoriously putting us down saying that we are still not good enough for upgrades...
It must be Syoitonirojim!!! hahaha

This is for us....
May it be a dream or a someone..
If it's the right thing to do, if he or she is the right person to keep by our side..
The right time is 'now' not 'later'...

And the above is what I had for dinner hahaha
Weird combination but...

"My heart chose you...."

Netball Workshop

Bismillah..

I was de-cluttering the notes in my phone when I saw the notes I wrote after our netball workshop. Intended to write it here for future reference.

I was never a netball player back in school; I can't accept all the restrictions. Netball could've been simpler if it weren't for all the restrictions hehe But, I think since maybe 4 or 5 years ago I decided to play netball anyway. It's easier to find people to play netball with. But, I'm still struggling with the footwork to this day...

Our team comprise of people who used to play in the past (except me) and still feel like playing today. We confidently signed up for a tournament haha and as a result of that, our leader decided that we should organize a workshop to polish our skills and update ourselves on the new rules in netball...

We invited Coach Azizan and spent 1.5 hours doing basic drills...

Passing

Do in pair:
Chest pass, Overhead pass, One hand pass (30 passes for each hand), Passes at 45 degrees angle

Landing

Left Foot, Right Foot, Both legs (Static, Move back and forth)

Focus

L Shape, 3 players, 2 balls. Alternate passes.

Lol.. I bet people can't understand what I just wrote haha this is just for my reference during our training

We've been discussing maybe GS is a good position for me since I still can't control my footwork so I've been perfecting my shoots. However, I think it'll be quite a disadvantage if I'm against a tall GK hehehe
