Recipe: Ayam Goreng Korea

Bismillah...

My niece and nephew usually look forward to my cooking because they sometimes get bored of their parents' cooking. And I love to try new recipes so they're very excited because of that too. My older brother is also a good cook, you see. Better than his wife, in fact. I can't beat his chicken curry haha

But usually I'll be too tired from driving when I reached Labuan and will refuse to cook for dinner. I won't have enough time to cook for breakfast and lunch the next day either.

I manage to try this one on the last day of Ramadhan. We were driving around to find food for break fast and all our favourite restaurants were closed and none of the food sold in the bazaar appealed to me. Looked at my niece and said, "Let's cook then.. Lets find a simple recipe..". We Googled for 'Ayam Goreng Korea' and I decided to try the one from this blog because it's the simplest hahaha

I didn't follow the fried chicken part because I already have my own way of making tasty fried chicken.. Yah! Yakin di situ hahaha

I usually use garlic flavoured flour to marinate the chicken. Any brand will do but I prefer those that doesn't need egg for coating. For this recipe, I marinated the chicken with black pepper for a few minutes before adding in flour. I added some water so the texture of the marinate is not that pasty. Leave it for a few hours before frying.

Some people will fry the chicken twice to get the crispy finish. But I was too lazy to do that hahaha

For the sauce,
1. Garlic; diced
2. Honey
3. Sugar
4. Home made cili boh
5. Tomato sauce and chili sauce (2:1 ratio)
6. Sesame seeds

It's really easy.. Saute the garlic, and then add all the ingredients in and stir. When it's already evenly mixed and starts to bubble, that's when you put in the chicken. Mix them and ensure all the chicken are fully covered with the sauce.

Sprinkle the sesame seeds and then it's done!

This is very easy. I think I can put this one in my daily bekal to work list hahaha
