Well… If we only look in one angle… Those cases would only reflect the health care professionals’ incompetence and negligence. But for my part it’s more than that…
The lesson from the first case.. Always seek for a second opinion… or even a third or fourth opinion..
Having something removed from your body is a BIG DEAL.. Your body will totally change.. You’ll experience changes that might be difficult to adapt to.. Don’t hesitate to do so… A single recommendation from a single doctor might not be the best. Other doctors may have other better solutions.

2ndly… We cannot simply blame the doctor if he misdiagnosed like in case two.. It is not easy to make diagnosis… The family might have not mentioned anything that is important to indicate that this boy is having fractured ribs.. so make sure to mention EVERYTHING that seems to be different after any accident etc. If the doctors or nurses still bemalas malas.. Keep on urging.. If they ignore you, go to another hospital like what I did when I had my femur fractured. The 1st hospital was so lazy and annoying.. They confirmed to me that a screw will be embedded. Luckily in PPUM, after thorough screening they found that the femur was stable and there’s no need to drill into my bone HAIYA!

In case 3… It was somewhat mysterious.. I just think it was his time to go.. According to my friend, everything seems to be normal that day.. The machine suddenly malfunctioned for a few minutes and then went back to normal…
Sometimes things are meant to be and we can’t escape from it no matter how much we try…
I really respect my friend’s decision to go to her doctor and discuss on what she’d found out. She did not reacted aggressively by simply filing a sue… We on the other hand advised her to at least ask the doctor to give her free PTH to compensate on the wrong medication that the doctor had given for a year after the surgery.
When you are really sure that the mishap is due to human error, there’s nothing wrong to stand up for your rights. Just make sure it is not to the extent of revenge or retaliation for your loss. May your effort to protect your rights benefit others too…
Death is definite… It will happen… When it happens, it means that it’s the time that Allah has decided for that person…

mantap la tulisan ko.
aku kadang2 sedih jugak bila kes saman sana sini berlaku... risau pun ada.
katalah cam ni kes dia, org ni patut di amputation kaki kanan, tp doktor potong kaki kiri, tu mmg patut saman la.
heheh.
tu skrg doktor ni kena kerja bukan ikut ilmu yg dia pernah belajar, atau cara akal otak dia berfikir, tapi lebih kepada PROTOKOL PROSEDUR yg dah fixed, utk elakkan malpractice...
